The Operations & Third-Party Relations Intern will work primarily on-site at the Headfirst Summer Camps location - Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA, with some work from the Washington, DC headquarters of the Headfirst Companies early in the camp season. The Intern will be essential for the operational execution and success of the programs operated by and in conjunction with Headfirst at Episcopal, including third-party relationship management, on-site operational support, equipment and material preparation, inventory requests and tracking, as well as logistics coordination. The successful candidate will have a focus on creating best-in-class camp and customer operations experience.
Provide entertainment as our mascot, Gomer, on an ad-hoc basis at Headfirst events, camps and other miscellaneous occurrences. We are looking for someone who is flexible to work nights and weekends with about a week’s notice of the dates needed. You will work directly with marketing, customer service, business development, and talent departments to create goodwill in the community.

The Digital Marketing and Social Media Intern works primarily on-site at one of the six award-winning Headfirst Summer Camps locations in the greater Washington, D.C. metro areas. The Digital Marketing and Social Media Intern will be responsible for packaging and promoting the extraordinary camp experience to camp families via a camp blog and various social media channels that are updated throughout the day with photos and captions from camp in order to give parents insight and visibility into their camper’s activities. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the attention to detail necessary to create exceptional work product representative of the Headfirst Companies’ brand.
The Intern of Event Management and Camp Operations works primarily on-site at all Showcase division camps that include both Headfirst Honor Roll Baseball and Softball camps, and Top 96 Baseball and Softball camps. The Intern will contribute to the operational execution of all programs operated by Headfirst Showcase camps, including on-site support, equipment and material preparation, camp set-up and break-down, logistics coordination, and inventory tracking. The successful candidate will have a focus on creating best-in-class camp and event management operations.
The Intern: Marketing, Customer Experience & Communications will work at the Headfirst Companies Headquarters in Northwest D.C. You will serve as a Headfirst Companies Brand Ambassador for our customers through phone, email, and in-person communication. Responsibilities for this role will include handling camper enrollment inquiries, as well as responding to parent questions, requests, and concerns through elite customer experience. You will work with leadership on-site and at our Headquarters to ensure customer needs and requests are met, owning the entire process from initiation to completion. You are an ambassador for the Headfirst Summer Camps and Headfirst Professional Sports Camps - Customer Experience team, dedicated to bringing our brand to life by delivering only the highest level of customer experience. The Intern: Marketing, Customer Experience & Communications is a dynamic communicator and proactive problem solver, knowing that maximizing our camper experience is at the heart of what we do.
The Video Analysis, Feedback & Communications Intern will work primarily at the Washington, D.C. headquarters office of The Headfirst Companies. The Video Analysis, Feedback, & Communications Intern will contribute to the operational and customer experience success of the Professional Sports Camps Division and its programs operated in partnership with the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, D.C. United, Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, and Washington Nationals. The Video Analysis, Feedback, & Communications Intern will produce hitting analyses and scouting reports for campers attending our youth camps run by Headfirst Professional Sports Camps. The Intern will also serve as a central point of contact with customers via phone and email by responding to enrollment inquiries, addressing and resolving parent questions, requests, and needs, while delivering a high-touch customer service experience. The successful candidate will possess a strong baseball or softball background, a desire to learn the details of every Headfirst Professional Sports Camps curriculums, and the exceptional written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively serve as a brand ambassador for The Headfirst Companies across multiple platforms and camp experiences.
The Manager of Operations will contribute to all aspects of our Headfirst Professional Sports Camps programs including - Atlanta Braves Baseball Camps, Boston Red Sox Baseball Camps, Chicago Cubs Baseball Camps, New York Yankees Baseball Camps, Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Camps, Washington Nationals Baseball & Softball Camps, D.C. United Soccer Camps and Atlanta Falcons Summer Camps. Primary responsibilities for this role will include program training and development, relationship management, budget ownership, as well as logistics and materials management. In this role, you a will directly manage a full-time year-round Program Operations Associate as well as lead a team of seasonal team members. Your guidance will contribute through the full cycle of our Headfirst Professional Sports from conception to planning to execution of our programming.
This role is integral to strengthening important, long-term relationships with key partners – including professional sports teams from Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer and the National Football League. This position is full-time, year-round and based at the Washington, D.C. headquarters office of The Headfirst Companies, but will involve travel to our nearby distribution and storage centers as well as our camp locations across the United States – primarily in June, July, and August.

This individual will combine the emotional intelligence necessary to excel in mission-driven youth development with the business acumen critical to leading a program on the precipice of rapid growth.
