The People Operations Associate will oversee full-cycle recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee experience and staff development and training for our Headfirst Professional Sports Camps seasonal team members– in partnership with the Atlanta Falcons, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, D.C. United, New York Yankees and Washington Nationals.
This role is entrusted with an ongoing quest to discover exceptional seasonal talent, build a strong employment brand, and cultivate a deep comprehension of our seasonal workforce in order to identify, retain and advance top talent.Our People Operations Associate will also help shape and grow the training strategies for each of our seasonal positions to instill and promote buy in and accountability to exceptional program quality and camper and family experiences at all levels of the organization. This role is full-time based at the Washington, D.C. headquarters office of The Headfirst Companies, but will involve travel to our nearby distribution and storage centers as well as our camp locations across the United States – primarily in June, July, and August.

The Intern of Event Management and Camp Operations works primarily on-site at all Showcase division camps that include both Headfirst Honor Roll Baseball and Headfirst Honor Roll Softball camps. The Intern will contribute to the operational execution of all programs operated by Headfirst Showcase camps, including on-site support, equipment and material preparation, camp set-up and break-down, logistics coordination, and inventory tracking. The successful candidate will have a focus on creating best-in-class camp and event management operations.
The Program Manager for Athletic Showcase Events will lead all aspects of our Headfirst Baseball & Softball Showcase Camps business division, with primary responsibilities for divisional strategy & growth, program development, relationship management, budget ownership, event execution and on-site logistics.
This role will report to Headfirst’s Director of Programs & Operations and lead a full-time team including a Marketing Manager and Program Operations Associate, as well as a team of seasonal/event staff through the full cycle of conception, planning and execution of our Showcase Camps programs.
This role is integral to strengthening important, long-term relationships with key vendors, facilities, and partners. Partners are inclusive of baseball and softball collegiate partner programs, as well as key baseball and softball high school travel programs – with a focus on relationship management and retention. This position is full-time year-round and based at the Washington, D.C. headquarters office of The Headfirst Companies, but will involve travel to our nearby distribution and storage centers as well as our camp locations across the United States – primarily in June, July, and August.

The Senior Controller at Headfirst Companies oversees all aspects of the day-to-day accounting and financial control functions across Headfirst’s corporate office and four programmatic divisions: Headfirst Honor Roll, Headfirst Professional Sports Camps, Headfirst Summer Camps, and KI Concerts.
The Senior Controller’s core duties include leading Headfirst’s internal Finance Team and external Finance service providers in the performance of ongoing financial and accounting activities, managing the annual budgeting and planning process, and acting as a strategic thought-partner for organizational leadership to maximize and strengthen Headfirst’s organizational capacity.
Our Senior Controller will be the senior-most internal Finance team member, with direct management responsibilities over members of Headfirst’s Finance team. The Senior Controller will also have a voice in steering Headfirst’s strategic direction through their spot on Headfirst’s Leadership Team, as well as through their consistent ongoing collaboration with senior stakeholders across the organization.
The Senior Controller role is a full-time corporate position based primarily in-person (at least 3 days per week) from Headfirst’s Washington, DC headquarters offices, with flexibility for in-person or remote work the remainder of the week.
